A brave new radio world

Coming next month, Stockton will have a place where they can hear local music played with live, local on-air talent jockeying the mic, with local advertisers selling their products to a local audience.

Where will that be Rod??

Good question, I am glad you asked…That will be the new, name-to-be-finalized, Internet radio station that I am making one of the top priorities this year. Think of it as 209 Vibe, the vanguard in all things music locally, and KWIN. The station will be run like a commercial station and feature artists from all over the San Joaquin Valley. We will even try to get those who might have changed over to reppin the Bay to come back home and be proud to be from Stockton.

I have  a small library of artists that I have collected throughout the years and am looking to expand this library and have a fairly large selection upon launch date in early February. If you are a local artist, or know someone who has been trying in vain to get airplay…send them my way, I will be happy to play their music, not just to appease them, but so that they can be heard in a professional radio manner like they deserve.

So learn and grow with this from the beginning, this is as much new to me as it will be to you and the greatest part of the whole process is that we can make this a living breathing monster that will devour the competition in the area, which right now is two songs at 9 oclock.

They make give you 15 mins, but we will give you that 15 along with the rest of the day.

So be on the lookout for Radio Stockton, or iRadio Stockton, or Radio209, whatever it’s name will be, it will be ours and finally local music will have a home in Stockton!
